2007-08 Outstanding Club Awards More than 100 clubs around the world bring some of Carolina to our alumni and help them give back to the University. All of these clubs deserve recognition. Each year the General Alumni Association identifies "Outstanding Clubs" — those that are exceptional in meeting the needs of their members and in their service to the GAA and the University. A committee reviews a number of elements in choosing award winners, including the number and scope of events held, service to students and the University, financial management, leadership and organization, communications, and charity and community involvement.
