Tar Heel Kids Camp (THKC) was started through the UNC General Alumni Association in 2001.

THKC, a spin-off of the seven-week summer program Carolina Kids Camp, was instituted to provide events for children of alumni while their parents participate in Homecoming/RAMpage and fall reunion festivities. The camp targets kids in grades K-5.

This established program has improved each year as it strives to offer new and exciting events for our junior Tar Heels. Past THKC activities included:

  • Attending UNC varsity sporting events
  • Morehead Planetarium shows
  • UNC Homecoming Pep Rally
  • Pizza parties
  • Cookie decorating
  • Making homemade ice cream
  • Designing posters for the Homecoming football game
  • Hip-hop dance lessons
  • and much more!
