Greetings Fellow Tar Heels!
The Carolina Indian Circle (CIC) was founded in fall 1974 to meet the needs of American Indian students at Carolina. At that time, fewer than 10 American Indians were enrolled at Carolina. Today there are seven officially recognized student organizations that celebrate who we are:
This academic year, we are celebrating 35 years of the Carolina Indian Circle and the fact that there are more than 240 American Indian undergraduate and graduate students, and approximately 1,200 American Indian alumni.
As members of the American Indian Reunion planning committee, we invite you to return to Chapel Hill and to attend this year's reunion. Rest assured, your participation will give you the chance to reacquaint yourself with classmates, professors and treasured memories of life as a Carolina student.
