From times Biblical to Byzantine, Roman to recent, the land of Jordan has offered visitors a dazzling diversity of sights. The GAA is pleased to offer this 12-day journey for a small group of no more than 24 travelers.  Alumni and friends from Carolina will be joined by alumni from the University of Washington.

Encounter the wonders both of nature and of man: lively Amman and rose-red Petra - a UNESCO World Heritage site; the outstanding Roman ruins of Jerash and the lunar-like, spectacular desert  landscape of Wadi Rum; the resort life of the Red Sea and the restorative powers of the Dead Sea. Your accommodations will be in deluxe and superior first-class hotels, including two nights at the deluxe Marriott Dead Sea. An optional 5 days/4 nights post-tour extension to the 3,000-year-old "City of Gold," Jerusalem, is also available if you wish to extend your tour.  Enjoy traveling with a small group to this region of Biblical, archaeological and historical treasures.
