Begin this unique, well-paced 15-day provincial France tour in Toulouse, discovering medieval Carcassonne and historic Albi with its Toulouse-Lautrec Museum.  Staying in charming Sarlat, your small group explores the remote Dordogne, seeing reproductions of pre-historic cave paintings at Lascaux IV and taking a Dordogne River cruise.  Enjoy a tour of the cliffside village of Rocamadour.  Visit a winery in Saumur and tour the Loire Valley’s impressive Chateau de Chenonceau.  Travel on to Crépon, stopping at dramatic Mont-St-Michel abbey.  See the 1,000-year-old Bayeux Tapestry and visit Caen’s Memorial Museum.  Tour Normandy’s evocative D-Day Landing Beaches, including Pointe du Hoc, Utah Beach, Ste-Mère-Église, and the moving American Cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach.  Walk amid artist Claude Monet’s famed Giverny gardens.  Conclude the journey in Paris, touring the city’s highlights and visiting either the Louvre Museum or the Musée d’Orsay.  Savor more time in the “City of Light” on an optional 3-day/2-night post-tour extension.
