Zoo Snooze - Creatures of the Night (Sold Out)

Update 8/23/16: This event has sold out. Please email Casey Privette ’01 at casey_privette@unc.edu to be added to the wait list.

Ready for a sleepover at the zoo? Now’s your chance to take advantage of this unique opportunity. With Halloween only a few days away you’ll learn about Creatures of the Night – Go batty over creatures of the night! Explore skills and senses of nocturnal animals in this fun and exciting program. Concentrating on bats and owls, we’ll shed some light on the mystery of what’s really going “bump in the night”. Through presentations and activities, participants will develop a greater understanding of our nighttime neighbors, their roles in our environment and how we can help them. Students will have a blast building bat boxes and a hoot dissecting owl pellets.

The cost for this event is $22 per person; families with at least one Carolina Alumni member receive a $10 discount. Price includes your ticket to the zoo for Saturday. Children under the age of seven are not permitted to participate in the zoo snooze.

Arrive at 7 p.m. on Friday evening. A light snack will be provided, but please eat dinner before arrival. Breakfast on Saturday morning is provided before you go to the zoo.
