Ready for a sleepover at the zoo with Tar Heels? Now’s your chance to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Soar into the night learning about why animals have wings. From flight to camouflage to communication, you’ll be surprised by what you learn. Through games, activities and meeting some live-winged creatures, you will get an idea of what it is like to live in their world. After you leave, continue your experience by attracting native birds to your backyard with a bird house, built by you. This event is targeted toward families with children ages 7-12. Children under the age of seven are not permitted to participate in the zoo snooze. The cost for this event is $30 per person; families/groups with at least one Carolina Alumni member receive a $15 discount. Cost includes your ticket to the zoo for Sunday, too.

Arrive at 7 p.m. on Saturday evening. A light snack will be provided, but please eat dinner before arrival. Breakfast on Sunday morning is provided before you go into the zoo. Helpful links provided by the zoo: What to Bring and Zoo Snooze FAQs.
