Coffee Chat FAQ

What is a Coffee Chat?

A Coffee Chat is an informal discussion with fellow Tar Heels and our career coach over a cup of coffee. You will be able share your experience, hear from other Tar Heels and gather professional guidance from our top-notch career coach, Catherine Tuttle. The best part? Coffee is provided.

What will the subject of this Coffee Chat be?

This Coffee Chat will focus on finding your professional fit. That can mean finding you first job post-graduation or grad school or making an early career shift.

What will be the takeaway from the Coffee Chat?

You will walk away from this Coffee Chat with some thoughts around next steps learned from the experience of fellow Tar Heels and our career coach.

What do I need to wear? Do I need to bring anything?

Attire is casual, but we know some of you may be headed straight to work, so business or business casual is fine too. Feel free to bring a resume or business cards but they are not required.

What if I can’t stay the whole time?

Don’t worry, there is no requirement to stay for the entire hour.

What if I’m interested but can’t make it?
