Click in with us virtually for our six-part series, Downtown Chapel Hill: Then, Now and Always, as we remember what our favorite college town was like during our time at Carolina. Each virtual talk will be led by a Chapel Hill business owner with deep historical knowledge and will include a few other personalities behind your favorite spots.

First up, a look at downtown shops, on Nov. 19, with host Missy Julian-Fox ’73. Missy grew up on Franklin Street in her parents’ clothing shop, Julian’s. She later operated the store with her husband, Michael, in the ’90s and ’00s. Missy served as the director of the UNC Visitors Center for a decade, placing her right at the intersection of the University and Chapel Hill.
