The GAA’s Tar Heel Network sponsors this annual reception, in its 33rd year, to provide an opportunity for state opinion leaders to express the importance of the University to them, to North Carolina and to members of the General Assembly. Among other issues, competitive faculty salaries and state-of-the-art facilities are critical for UNC to retain its world-class ranking and to preserve the value of Carolina diplomas.
