If you grew up in the South and on the land, the English language was merely a backdrop for phrases and expressions, which spiced up day-to-day interaction like verbal Tabasco and Texas Pete.  This class will reach into a veritable barrel of colorful “down-home-isms” and we’ll try to get to the bottom of how they came to be … “Lord willin’ and the creeks don’t rise.”
