On this day in 1781, 4,500 colonial militia and Continentals intensely and brutally battled Lord Cornwallis’ 1900 veterans for 2½ hours.  At this backcountry hamlet in North Carolina, the British were victors but it came with a great cost.  Join us on the 236th anniversary of the most significant Revolutionary War fight in our state—one that seven months later directly led to British surrender at Yorktown.
