Christian questioned North Carolina’s claim of “First at Bethel, farthest at Gettysburg and Chickamauga and last at Appomattox.”  Aroused, the Old North State’s veterans responded with a publication entitled Five Points in the Record of North Carolina in the Great War of 1861-5.  Tonight’s gathering is the impassioned fruit of their labor.
