Tarik J. Woods ’20
Tarik is a a first generation, first-year student and plans to double major in English and public policy, with a minor in politics, philosophy and economics. He graduated from Salisbury High School with honors from the STEM Academy and National Honors Society.
Tarik is a member of the National Young Politicians of America Association, and is finishing his term as a second term senator. He has written two bills that have been sponsored by national legislators that will soon be on the President Obama’s desk. Tarik represents North Carolina as a delegate to Americas Junior Ambassador program, and has debated policy with other countries delegations. In his home county, Tarik organized teenage volunteers to help the image of young people across his community, and develop leadership skills in at risk students. He aspires to be president of the United States.
