Our partner in our print directory project, Publishing Concepts (PCI), is helping us via email, phone and postcards to make sure your University record is up to date. When you hear from them, know it is legitimate and one way we keep this big family of more than 336,000 #UNCAlumni connected.

I received an email about how to download the digital 2020 Alumni Directory that I ordered. Is this a legitimate email?

Yes. We partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce our 2020 UNC Alumni Directory. PCI is a company located in Dallas, TX and Virginia Beach, VA that publishes directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities and military organizations across the nation. This email was sent on behalf of the UNC General Alumni Association by PCI to direct you how to download your digital 2020 Alumni Directory.

Why is the GAA publishing an Alumni Directory?

For many years, the Alumni Association has published alumni directories in book form which helps the Alumni Association keep the most accurate and up-to-date records possible on all alumni so we can help you stay connected to friends and classmates and let you know what’s happening at Carolina.

How do I know my information will only be used for directory purposes?

The UNC General Alumni Association has a contractual agreement with PCI that states:

  1. The names, addresses and information provided to PCI by the UNC General Alumni Association for the publication of the Directory will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the Directory and except as required by court order or law.
  2. The 2020 UNC Alumni Directory will be made available only to alumni and non-alumni members of UNC General Alumni Association. Upon completion of the project, PCI will return to UNC General Alumni Association any and all electronic files that have been supplied to UNC General Alumni Association or produced by PCI in connection with the production of the Directory.

Doesn't the GAA offer an Online Alumni Directory of all UNC alumni as a benefit of GAA membership?

Yes. This printed directory project allows the Alumni Association to update everyone’s information through this major data-collection effort and to provide a directory to alumni who don’t have Internet access or prefer to have this information printed as well as online.  The decorative covers make the print directory a beautiful addition to any home.

How often will you publish a printed directory?

The GAA plans to publish a directory about every five years.

How will Carolina benefit from the project?

An up-to-date database of all UNC alumni benefits the entire University in many ways. It also is invaluable for helping us keep you up-to-date with Carolina news and events.

I ordered a directory/package over the phone and would like to cancel my order. How do I do this?
