For many years, the Alumni Association has published alumni directories in book form which helps the Alumni Association keep the most accurate and up-to-date records possible on all alumni so we can help you stay connected to friends and classmates and let you know what’s happening at Carolina.
If you have received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a dedicated representative for the UNC General Alumni Association project. The representative will verify all the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed. If you have received an email with an embedded link, you may go to the online site to review your information. If you have questions, you may call PCI’s customer service desk at (800) 982-1590.
The 2020 UNC Alumni Directory is available for sale only to UNC General Alumni Association alumni and non-alumni members.
The UNC General Alumni Association has a contractual agreement with PCI that states:

PCI is a company located in Dallas, TX and Virginia Beach, VA that publishes directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities and military organizations across the nation. This project allows the UNC General Alumni Association to receive important updates to our database.
Yes. This printed directory project allows the Alumni Association to update everyone’s information through this major data-collection effort and to provide a directory to alumni who don’t have Internet access or prefer to have this information printed as well as online. The decorative covers make the print directory a beautiful addition to any home.
The GAA plans to publish a directory about every five years.
An up-to-date database of all UNC alumni benefits the entire University in many ways. It also is invaluable for helping us keep you up-to-date with Carolina news and events.

No. We are grateful that you are a generous supporter of the University. Joining other organizations associated with or part of the University, however, does not include membership in the Alumni Association. The GAA is a not-for-profit, self-governed membership organization that supports that fosters alumni participation in support of the University. Alumni activities, communications and services are not a line item in the University budget but are funded by GAA member dues.
GAA members have exclusive access to a number of perks including a subscription to the award-winning Carolina Alumni Review magazine, a scenic Carolina wall calendar, a complimentary session with the GAA’s certified career coach, premium access to all Alumni Career Services, priority invitations to select events and valuable discounts.
Anyone who attended Carolina for one semester in a degree-earning program is considered an alumnus/a of the University.
