Scholar Profile – Jennell S. McIntosh

Jennell S. McIntosh ’15
2011 Light on the Hill Society

 Jennell’s leadership, communication and interpersonal skills were developed during her nine years as a Girl Scout. She also served as a leader in her school and community lending her time to the Center for Visual Artists as a counselor and youth leader at Oak Ridge First Baptist Church.

At Northern Guilford High School, Jennell maintained a record of academic and athletic excellence. She was inducted into the National Honor Society and served as the captain of the varsity softball team.
Jennell is a Tar Teel, born and bred, having been surrounded with Carolina blue since she was a child. Continuing the legacy of both of her parents, Jennell is proud to call Carolina home. During her time in Chapel Hill, she plans to major in exercise and sports science and ultimately wants to become a physical therapist.
In an effort to establish her heel print, Jennell is already involved in several UNC student organizations such as the Minority Student Recruitment Committee, Minority Association of Pre-Health Students and the Black Student Movement.
