Jocelyn intends to major in psychology with a neuroscience minor.  She graduated as the valedictorian of the class of 2015 from Duplin Early College High School. While attending high school, she was also dually enrolled at James Sprunt Community College.  Through a rigorous academic pathway, Jocelyn completed her high school diploma and associate in arts degree in four years. She lives with her mother, a UNC alumna.

Two years ago, Jocelyn founded Diamonds, a group dedicated to educating middle school girls on the media’s effect on self-esteem, eating disorders, body positivity and feminism. During high school, she served as a Teen Court prosecutorial attorney, as well as a tutor for high school and collegiate courses. This year, as vice-president of service for Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Jocelyn supported the ALS awareness by spearheading a fundraising project and participating in ALS walks.
