Leeza plans to major in biology and become a dermatologist. She graduated from Warren New Tech High School, a public high school in Warrenton. She was also a student in the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Online Program, along with Vance-Granville Community College. She lives in Henderson with her parents, William and Linda Mason.  Her brother Bryron Mason ’15 will graduate from Carolina in December.

During the summer of 2014, Leeza attended North Carolina Governor’s School, where her area of focus was English with a concentration in poetry. During high school, Leeza was very active in providing services to the community through the Teen Court Program, church activities, the local library and elementary school tutoring.

In high school, she served as a school ambassador, Relay for Life volunteer, and senior chief and editor of the yearbook staff. She plans to continue to provide services through Carolina’s service and learning community.
