We will continue to update this section as we receive additional questions from you and your classmates. Have a question? Email reunions@unc.edu.

When will registration open?

Registration is open now!  Please register today and also continue to check back often for additional reunion weekend updates.

How do I register for my spouse/guest to attend with me?

Complete the registration for yourself first.  Once you have selected all of the options you want, you will be given the opportunity to “add a spouse/guest” and start over selecting the specific options for your spouse/guest.

My spouse and I are both members of the class? How should we register?

One person should start the registration process for him/herself.  Once all activities and events are selected, you will be given the option to “add a guest” to your registration.  Please go back through the registration form and complete the choices that your spouse would like as well.  Don’t worry!  Both classmates will be listed as attendees and members of the class on reunion materials.  Just remember to list both of your class years on the registration form.

Can I wait to register? Update my registration information later?

Yes, you may wait to register; however, we encourage you to select the options you want at this time.  If you register now, it will make sure that we continue to update you directly as more events and activities are added to the website.

Once you register, you should receive a confirmation email.  This will be a great reminder of the things you’re planning to attend.  This email also provides you with information so that you can update (add/cancel) things from your registration at any time before registration closes in the spring.

When will you have more information about enrichment sessions?

We are hoping to have enrichment session information finalized in late January. We will be sure to send an email to all registered attendees as well as update the information on this website.

Why are hotels so expensive? Are you able to find less expensive rates?

Unfortunately, graduation time in Chapel Hill is a very busy weekend where demand often exceeds supply of hotel rooms. We have worked with area hotels to get reduced rates, although we understand these may still be quite expensive.  There are some hotels in other nearby areas (i.e. Durham) that may be more price sensitive.

I do not want to purchase the 50th Anniversary Yackety Yack, do I still need to complete the profile information?

Yes, please do! We want to make sure you are represented in the book so that all of your classmates will know more about you since your time at UNC. Remember, there is no cost to submit your entry and information.

I do not plan to attend the reunion, but I would like to purchase the 50th Anniversary Yackety Yack.

We hope you’ll reconsider attending. Registration will be open for several months so please feel free to change your mind until it closes. If you would like to purchase a 50th Anniversary Yackety Yack, please click the registration link and follow the information so that we will know who you are and where to mail the book. Please skip/omit any option that you are not interested in (i.e. reunion events).

I do not plan to attend the reunion, but I would like to become a reunion patron.

I would like to get more involved in the reunion. Is it too late?

Please email us at reunions@unc.edu. We will provide your name and contact information to the steering committee. We’d love to have more volunteers.

Jennifer joined the GAA in January 2017. She is thrilled to be back at Carolina and loves bumping into fellow Tar Heels on her (almost) daily walks around campus. In her spare time, Jennifer can be found chasing her daughters with her college sweetheart Shawn ’08, dining with friends at their favorite restaurants, playing the piano or getting lost in a good book.
