How do I add a guest to my registration?

As long as tickets are available, you can add guests tickets until 11:59 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

To Add a Guest to an Existing Registration

  • Be sure you have your confirmation number; you will need this to modify your registration. It can be found in your confirmation email above the ORDER SUMMARY.
  • At the bottom of your confirmation email (just above the privacy notice information), click on the link that reads: Click here to view the event summary.
  •  This will take you to the page to enter your confirmation number; enter your confirmation number, click
  • On the next page, under the image header, click the MODIFY button
  • This will take you to the MODIFY REGISTRATION
  • To add a new guest, click on the ADD ANOTHER GUEST button
  • The next page, will ask for guest information, complete and click NEXT
  • The next page will allow you to select the events you would like for your guest to attend, check all that apply then click NEXT
  • You will now see that you are back on the MODIFY REGISTRATION page
  • Click Add Another Guest to repeat this process for each guest you are adding
  • Once you’ve completed adding all of your guests, click NEXT
  • You should now be on the REGISTRATION SUMMARY page (the page defaults to show the items you are registered to attend; to see which events each guest is registered to attend, click each person’s name)
  • If you’re good with everyone’s events, click NEXT
  • You should now be on the SUBMIT PAYMENT page; follow the prompts

I can no longer attend, are refunds possible?

Yes.  You can cancel your registration plus the registration for each of your guests, for a refund, until 11:59 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Football tickets and processing fees are nonrefundable, no exceptions.

Cancellation Instructions

  • At the bottom of your confirmation email, there is a link that reads: Click here to view the event summary; click that link to access your registration
  • Insert your confirmation number (can also be found on your confirmation email), click OK
  • Under BAR HEEL image, click the modify registration button
  • To cancel a ticket, click the unregister box next to the name of the individual in which you’re cancelling (NOTE: If you unregister the primary registrant, guests will also be unregistered)
  • Follow the prompts.

Will my merchandise be mailed prior to the reunion?

No. Event tickets and merchandise will be available for pick up during on-site registration.

How will I receive my football tickets?

Tickets purchased via this website will be sent, electronically, beginning Oct. 18.  Please note, we are unable to accommodate specific seating requests.  To guarantee  you are seated with a specific group, please purchase all tickets on one registration form (as you would with Ticketmaster, Live Nation, etc.). If you have not received your game tickets by Oct. 21  email bar@unc.edu and we’ll follow up with you.

How do I add tickets to my registration?

As long as tickets are available, you can add ticket until 11:59 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

How to Add Tickets

To Add Events to an Existing Registration

  • Be sure you have your confirmation number; you will need this to modify your registration. It can be found in your confirmation email above the ORDER SUMMARY.
  • At the bottom of your confirmation email (just above the privacy notice information), click on the link that reads: Click here to view the event summary.
  •  This will take you to the page to enter your confirmation number; enter your confirmation number, click
  • On the next page, under the image header, click the MODIFY button
  • This will take you to the MODIFY REGISTRATION
  • Next to the name of each registrant, in the modify column, there is an Information link and a Registration link; click on the Registration link of the person in which you are adding events.
  • If you are adding events for the primary registrant, the next page you’ll see  the MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS page, click NEXT and you’ll see the CURRENT SELECTION AND EVENTS  (If you are adding events for a guest, the next page you’ll see is the CURRENT SELECTION AND EVENTS)
  • On the CURRENT SELECTION AND EVENTS page, check all the events you’d like to add for that person, click NEXT
  • Repeat this step for each person in which you are adding events
  • If you need to add football tickets, this must be done under the primary registrants registration (see step 6, click on Registration link for the primary registrant, click NEXT on the MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS page, on the next page, CURRENT SELECTION AND EVENTS, scroll down to Football Tickets and Merchandise section and insert ONLY the number of tickets you are adding (disregard the reduce quantity button, game tickets are nonrefundable, hence this functionality is disabled), click NEXT
  • You will see that you are back on the MODIFY REGISTRATION page, click NEXT
  • You should now be on the REGISTRATION SUMMARY page
  • Under the Agenda section, for the primary registrant, if you added events, football tickets and or merchandise, you’ll see those items highlighted in yellow plus those items from your initial registration. No worries, you are ONLY being charged for those items highlighted in yellow; the next page will show you the amount you will be charged for these modifications)
  • To see the events you’ve added for your guests, click the name of each guest.
  • REMEMBER…football tickets and merchandise will only show on the primary registrant’s registration; you will not see those items on any guest registration.
  • You should now be on the SUBMIT PAYMENT page; you’ll see the total amount due from this addition; follow the prompts

Why is there a $5 processing fee per person?

To streamline our reunion processing and to create a more efficient and secure online registration experience, we have upgraded our event management system. This has resulted in a processing fee similar to other online event systems (e.g. Ticketmaster, UNC Ticket Office, Fandango, etc.) plus you have more control of your ticket purchasing.

You can now add, cancel and request refunds from your laptop or mobile device. Our system will also allow us to go ticketless.  In 2019, we’ll move away from paper tickets and your name tag will be scanned for event entry. The fee directly supports system monitoring and frequent upgrades and does not fund any reunion activities. The $5 processing fee is nonrefundable.

I'm a GAA member and my spouse/guest is not. Is she/he eligible for GAA member pricing?

No.  Only GAA members are eligible for GAA member pricing.   If your spouse/guest is not a GAA member, her/his tickets must be purchased at the standard rate.

Where is the BAR football block located?

The BAR football block is  101/102. (view seating chart).

I'd like to sit with my friends at the football game. Is that possible?

To guarantee you are sitting with specific individuals, football tickets must be purchased all together on one (1) registration form (e.g. same as if you were purchasing tickets from Ticketmaster or Live Nation). Any game tickets purchased on one registration form will be seated together.

What are my options if I miss the deadline?

We know you won’t, but just in case you do, here are some commonly asked questions!

Can I pay for the parties at the door?

Yes. As long as capacity allows, participants can pay at the door for the following events:

Friday Night

  • Vintage Times Live Comedy Show: $30
  • Vintage Times After Dark: $20
  • Blue Swagger Doce: $30

Saturday Night (two parties for one, one ticket will get you in both parties)

  • CODE BLUE :$50
  • Vintage Times Live featuring Vanessa Ferguson: $50

What are ticket prices after the deadline?

GAA member pricing will not be available during on-site registration.  If capacity permits, standard pricing will apply to all, regardless of GAA membership status plus a processing fee of $5 per registrant.

Where will on-site registration take place?

Registrations cannot be taken over the phone but on-site registration will open at the following times:

Name tags and merchandise WILL NOT be distributed at the Bell Tower during the tailgate (distribution will take place at the Alumni Center).

The BAR block, as well as the game, is sold out.

What reunion events are no longer available?

Tickets are no longer available for the following event:

  • BAR Shuttle
  • Tailgate
  • Bell Tower Bash (post game)

A very limited number of tickets will be available for the awards gala, Project Uplift 50th Brunch and the Black Pioneers Breakfast.
