Carolina Public Humanities

Carolina Public Humanities, a unit in the College of Arts and Sciences, sponsors several seminars that explore interesting and important cultural, moral and social topics from the perspectives of the humanities.

Adventures in Ideas
The Adventures in Ideas seminars are weekend seminars featuring three or four Carolina faculty members who address a topic from the vantage point of their respective disciplines.

Spotlight on Scholars
Spotlight on Scholars events exemplify the diversity of scholarship at Carolina. These sessions feature UNC faculty discussing their recent work, new books or newest scholarly passion.

Humanities in Action
Humanities in Action events pay homage to the tradition of civic humanism. Engage with contemporary and potentially controversial topics in a welcoming environment.
