Trustees Seek “Lawful, Lasting” Plan for Silent Sam

Carolina’s Confederate monument fell with a sound heard around the nation. In the ensuing celebration and outrage, UNC System leaders gave trustees until Nov. 15 to find a preservation plan for Silent Sam that ensures public safety.
