Spellings to Step Down After Three Years

The former Bush administration education secretary said she hopes to continue in public service after leaving as UNC System president. Dr. William Roper, who has led UNC’s School of Medicine and UNC’s health care system since 2004, will become the interim system president on Jan. 1.

Podcast: Through Their Eyes

Photographer Tyler Cunningham ’97 believed that she could do more with her camera. She found Through Our Eyes, a project that distributes cameras to members of the homeless communities, allowing participants to tell the stories of their lives through images of their own creation.
