On the Road to Charlottesville

Continuing the South’s oldest football rivalry, the Heels will face the Virginia Cavaliers in Charlottesville this fall. Hosted by your GAA and The Rams Club, we invite Tar Heels of all ages to join us for the Beat UVA Tailgate and football game on Saturday, Oct. 27.

The information below refers to registrations submitted via this site only. It does not pertain to game tickets purchased from the UNC Ticket Office.

Registration Deadlines

  • Game Tickets: Wednesday, Sept. 26 (game tickets are non-refundable).
  • Tailgate Tickets: Sunday, Oct. 21
  • Refund Policy: For full tailgate refund, email gameparty@unc.edu by Sunday, Oct. 21.

Processing Fee

  • A processing fee will be added to each registration total.

Online Registration

  • The ECU, UVA and Duke tailgate and game tickets are all options on the registration form.  Whether you are registering for one, two or all three, you can do so on the same registration form.

Beat UVA Tailgate

Tailgate Information

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 27
  • Time: 10 a.m.
  • Location: UVA Army ROTC Lot (also called North H Lot), located at the intersection of Alderman Road & McCormick Road (view map)
  • Refund Policy: For full tailgate refund, email gameparty@unc.edu by Sunday, Oct. 21.

Tailgate Price

  • Menu will include traditional southern menu options, beer, wine, soda and water plus music and Carolina give-a-ways.
  • Party ticket: $40/person
  • Jr. Tar Heels: $20 (ages 6 – 12)
  • Toddler Tar Heels: No charge (ages 5 and younger)
  • No tickets will be issued for this event; a registration list will be used for check-in.

Game Tickets

The information below refers to game tickets purchased via this site ONLY. If you purchased your tickets from the UNC Ticket Office, and have game ticket questions, please contact the UNC Ticket Office directly at (919) 962-2296.

UPDATE: Game tickets not picked up by 12 p.m., will be taken to the Visitor’s Will Call  window located at the East Gate.

  • Location: Scott Stadium
  • Tickets: $40 (game tickets are nonrefundable)
  • Purchase Deadline: Wednesday, Sept. 26
  • Ticket Delivery:  Will be distributed during the tailgate party
  • We are unable to accommodate specific seating requests.  To guarantee  you are seated with a specific person or group, tickets must be purchased on one registration form (as you would with Ticketmaster, Live Nation, etc.).
  • Per UVA Athletics, kids 2 years old and older must have a game ticket.

Game-Day Information

Scott Stadium

  • Although many college stadiums across the country have similarities, they also have their differences. Be sure to review  Scott Stadium’s policies and restrictions, prior to entering the stadium.

Clear-Bag Policy

  • We strongly recommend reviewing UVA’s clear-bag policy before entering the stadium.

  • Located at the East ticket office and opens 2 hours before the game.
