For Young Alumni

We love our #UNCAlumni.

Carolina’s young alumni are an important part of our Tar Heel family. Whether you find yourself near or far from Chapel Hill, your General Alumni Association’s goal is to keep you connected to Carolina (our favorite place on Earth). We’re celebrating that Carolina connection every day, and we look forward to celebrating with you. From reading our monthly e-newsletter The Quad to young alumni events and following along with us @uncgaa, we hope you’ll have some fun with your fellow young alumni.

Top 10 Reasons to Be a GAA Member

  1. Carolina Alumni Review Magazine Subscription | Fear of missing your DTH? GAA members receive the grown-up version, the Carolina Alumni Review magazine. It looks great on your coffee table in your new place too.
  1. Events With Tar Heels | From a sunset cruise to an afternoon beer class, GAA members save on ridiculously fun events. Don’t miss out on being entertained in the company of Tar Heels.
  1. Carolina Prizes | Your GAA is everywhere you are on social media. We’ll post anything from argyle socks to koozies, and GAA members simply have to double tap on Instagram to be entered to win.
  1. Epic Carolina Connection | Roll deep with 300,000. That’s how many Tar Heels you’ll have in your network – the online directory – as soon as you become a GAA member. It’ll keep your Carolina connection strong, that’s for sure.
  1. Save Big With Discounts | GAA members have access to discounts. From saving on The Mad Popper’s tasty popcorn to looking dapper with Brooks Brothers or spirited with Johnny T-shirt, we’ve got you covered.
  1. Career Help | Navigating the real world is tough. As a GAA member, you can use your complimentary coaching session to craft resumes that get results, negotiate that much-deserved promotion and build effective networks.
  1. Alumni Advisor Network | Whatever your dream job is – there likely is a fellow Tar Heel in that field. The Alumni Advisor Network gives GAA members access to connect with that person for career and life advice.
  1. Carolina Clubs | Wherever you end up in the world, you’ll feel at home with your local Carolina Club. GAA membership supports 750 events in 90 locations around the globe. #GoHeels
  1. Carolina Calendar | We’re all for pretty campus photos. These were our stomping grounds for four years. Keep campus scenes close by with your wall calendar – mailed to GAA members each year.
  1. Student Experience | You were living the dream at Carolina. We want the next class and the next class to do the same. GAA membership supports scholarships and students events. Cheers to that!
