Carlan Welsby
Chapel Hill, NC
East Chapel Hill High School graduate, Carlan Welsby, comes to Carolina as a GAA Scholar. She played field hockey and swam in high school and was co-president of the Be Loud Sophie Club which supports care for young adult cancer patients at UNC Hospitals. She also served as the teen representative for the Teens Climb High curriculum. Carlan plans to major in Environmental Health Sciences and is excited about the lifelong connections she’ll make at UNC.
