A Tar Heel born and bred, Parker is very excited to be attending Carolina as a Dibbert Scholar, and can’t wait to watch the UNC-Duke game in the Dean Dome.
A former cross-country and track athlete at South Iredell High School in Mooresville, Parker loves to run and completed the New South Trail Marathon 2017 – her first ever.
Parker participated in Young Life and was president of the Keywanettes service club. In her leadership role, she started an initiative to increase service-based (rather than donation-based) giving. Premier events included a spa day at a local center for domestically abused women and children and a carnival to support Iredell County Stop Child Abuse Now.
Her current course of study is biology and Spanish, and she is interested in the entrepreneurship study abroad program in Silicon Valley.
