Dean John Williams last summer announced his plans to leave after five years in the position. He will become dean of the Indiana University School of Dentistry.
A search committee chaired by Barbara Rimer, dean of the Gillings School of Global Public Health, sent the names of three finalists to Chancellor Holden Thorp ’86 and Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Bruce Carney. The University was unable to hire the finalist the committee recommended.
Stamm served as dean of the school from 1989 to 2004.
