U.S. Men's Basketball Defeats Spain in Quarterfinals

Team USA will advance to Friday’s semifinals after a 102-94 quarterfinal victory against previously unbeaten Spain. Stephon Marbury, who played college ball at Georgia Tech, set a Team USA Olympic scoring record Thursday with 31 points.

“We’re growing as a team. We know how to win games now,” Marbury said. “We’re not relaxing at all, though. We have to come out and win two more games to win the gold medal. We are all well aware of what is ahead and what’s at stake.”
