Alumni, students, faculty and staff members are encouraged to submit nominations for several campuswide awards that will honor professors and graduate teaching assistants in a variety of categories.
The committee, co-chaired by Teaching Professor Meredith Petschauer ’96 (MA) in exercise and sport science and Assistant Professor Lisa Woodley in nursing, will accept nominations through Sept. 16 at provost.unc.edu/posts/2019/05/08/university-teaching-awards.
The committee will review the nominees and make recommendations to the chancellor. This year, the committee will recommend recipients for six types of awards:
No individual may receive more than one award each year.
Details about the awards and nominating forms are available at provost.unc.edu/posts/2019/05/08/university-teaching-awards. Questions can be directed to the committee co-chairs (mbusby@email.unc.edu or lwoodley@email.unc.edu) or to Debbie Deese in the provost’s office (debbie_deese@unc.edu).
