Dear Classmates,

Join us for an epic “20th in 2020” Reunion Weekend, April 24-25, in Chapel Hill. We ‘ll start the weekend with a casual get together, spend some time on campus Saturday for some family-friendly events, culminating in a rockin’ reunion party Saturday evening, April 25, at The Carolina Club in the George Watts Hill Alumni Center. This rockin’ party will feature music, food, drink and plenty of memory reliving and memory making. Don’t miss out. Sign up by March 31 for early-Heel pricing.

Weekend Schedule

Friday, April 24

Welcome back to Chapel Hill.

Varsity Baseball vs. Virginia Tech
6 p.m.
Varsity baseball will be at home against Virginia Tech on Friday night. What a great way to kick off the weekend – fireworks included. Individual grandstand tickets are $10 and outfield tickets are $7. Purchase individual tickets. Group tickets (10 or more) can be purchased for $4 a piece by calling (800) 722-4335 or click here for individual tickets. 

Dinner

Please make dinner plans on your own. So many fabulous options on Franklin Street, some tried and true blue as well as many new possibilities.

Gathering at He’s Not Here
9 p.m.

After dinner, plan to meet fellow classmates at He’s Not Here at 9 p.m. to kick off our weekend celebration.

Saturday, April 25, Daytime Events

Football Behind-the-Scenes Tour
10-11 a.m.
Start the day with a behind the scenes tour of the UNC football facilities. The tour will be led by members of the UNC Athletics department. Space is limited to 100. Complimentary event.

Lunch
Please enjoy lunch on your own. Pop into Subway next to Rams Head Parking Deck, visit Chase Dining Hall or perhaps the food court in Lenoir. Franklin Street offers lots of Tar Heel favorites along with new spots to try.

Climbing Wall at Rams Head Recreation Center
Sessions at 12:30 p.m. or 2 p.m.
Great chance for you or your Jr. Tar Heel to try out the climbing center. All prices include climbing gear. You’ll complete a waiver at check in. If you plan to observe your family member, be sure to sign up as an observer. Limited to 15 climbers per session. Price: $20; Jr. Tar Heels (5-18 years old): $20; Carolina Alumni members: $10. 

Carmichael Hall Makerspace
Sessions at 12:30 p.m. or 2 p.m.
BeAM@CAROLINA is a network of makerspaces where any UNC student, staff or faculty member can join the UNC maker community in the design and creation of physical objects for education, research, entrepreneurship and recreation. We will visit the makerspace in Carmichael Hall, and learn about the many ways the UNC community uses the equipment including emerging technologies like 3D printing and laser cutting, along with areas dedicated to sewing. We will make buttons using Tar Heel themed logos including our class of 2000 logo. Limited to 30 people per session. Complimentary event.

Wine Tasting at Horace Williams House, 160 E. Franklin St.
2 – 3:30 p.m.
Wine 101: In Vino Veritas. Identify key components of wine and explore how to pair with the right food to make your next dinner party a success. This event is sponsored by Total Wine & More. Price: $20; Carolina Alumni members: $10.

Saturday, April 25, Rockin' Reunion Party (Adults Only)

6:00-11:00 p.m.
It’s our epic 20th in 2020, and we can’t even wait to see you at our rockin’ reunion party for plenty of memory reliving and memory making. We’ll be partying the night away in the heart of Chapel Hill at The Carolina Club (Alumni Hall) in the George Watts Hill Alumni Center. We’ll enjoy a dinner buffet with something for everyone: think salads, soup, entree and dessert. Following dinner, we will rock the night away. Price includes buffet and one (1) drink ticket; cash bar available. This is an adult-only event. We’ll take a class photo on the outside steps next to The Carolina Club at 7 p.m. No purchase necessary to be included in the photo. Early Heel price through March 31: $100; after March 31, $125. Carolina Alumni member early Heel price through March 31, $75, after March 31, $95.
