Joe Simpson ’73 leads our new Abraham Lincoln lecture series. Joe graduated with a BA in history. Joe studied Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era for more than 30 years. After retiring from a career in real estate development, he has passionately taught courses on Lincoln and the Abolition of American Slavery at N.C. State, Duke, Emory, UVA, American University and the University of Michigan, as part of their Osher Lifelong Learning Institute University Programs. Joe is a member of the Lincoln Forum and the Abraham Lincoln Association. He is married and lives in Raleigh.
