- The annual Harold and Carol Kohn Distinguished Alumni Lecture honors the contributions of alumni of the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and recognizes faculty and staff who have empowered alumni achievements. The lecture also serves as an outlet to inspire current and future pharmacy students. The 2023 Distinguished Alumni Lecturer is Kellie Schoolar Reynolds, Director, Division of Infectious Disease Pharmacology at the Office of Clinical Pharmacology, Office of Translational Sciences, CDER, FDA. Dr. Schoolar-Reynolds, a 1994 graduate of the DPET Fellowship Program, has over 25 years of clinical pharmacology experience with the FDA. Her lecture brings stories of her work in infectious disease at the FDA and takes the audience on her journey to where she is today. The lecture will be followed by a reception and light refreshments.
- This event is free to attend, and all are welcome. No need to pre-register.
6:30-8:30 p.m. | PY1/Alumni Networking, 200 Beard Hall
- Meet the Class of 2027 as they are about two-thirds of the way into the first semester of their first year! Students rotate in small groups from station to station to meet with you and other alumni of the School. Conversations are open to whatever you and the students care to talk about. Light refreshments will be provided. An excellent way to start UNC Homecoming Weekend!
- There is no cost to attend but registration is required.
Saturday, Nov. 11
5:30 – 7:30 p.m. | Eshelman School of Pharmacy Homecoming Tailgate, Beard/Kerr Hall Front Lawn
- Enjoy barbecue, lawn games, music, and camaraderie before you root on the Tar Heels. The theme of this tailgate is simple: Beat Dook! Dress in your best Carolina gear and join fellow Eshelman School of Pharmacy alumni and current students for some food and fun before the big game.
- Registration is required
- $15 for Pharmacy students and children 12 and under, $25 for adults (Carolina Alumni members receive a $10 discount)
