56 Honored with Distinguished Professorships
The University has bestowed distinguished professorships to 56 faculty members since fall 2023.
Among the highest honors the University gives, distinguished professorships recognize faculty who have achieved distinction in their field or across disciplines. They require approval by the Faculty Council’s Appointment, Promotion and Tenure Committee and the University’s Board of Trustees.
Recipients of a distinguished professorship receive a salary increase and a research stipend.
