Read MoreThe General Alumni Association Board of Directors presented on Friday, Oct. 1 its 2022 Distinguished Young Alumnus Award to Markita Landry ’06.
Landry is an assistant professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, where she researches how nanosensors can measure neurochemicals such as serotonin and dopamine. Her findings may help scientists understand how brain chemistry changes during addiction, Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
Established in 1989, the award recognizes alumni age 40 or younger whose achievements have brought credit to the University.
