Dr. Lohmann’s research interests include magnetic navigation and migration in sea turtles, sensory ecology and physiology, animal behavior and behavioral ecology.  She is a former mentor for the Carolina Covenant program, a current mentor of the Biology Honors Society (TriBeta) and mentors people through the Carolina Beekeeping Club.  Additionally, she does community outreach and science education in elementary schools.
