First-Time Homebuyer Class

Pre-registration for this event is closed.  We will accommodate as many on-site registrants as space allows.

First, buy your Tar Heel home. Then, decorate it with all the Carolina blue you want. Purchasing a home is one of the largest commitments you will ever make (after you committed to attending your favorite place on Earth, Carolina, of course). For you, first-time home buyer, this is a know-before-you-go class. We want to be sure you have all your bases covered before you start the home-buying process. Questions we’ll cover include:

  • Own or rent? Am I ready?
  • Do I need a realtor?
  • Financing options? There are so many.
  • What are the tax implications?
  • HOA, property taxes and insurance, oh my!

Enjoy wine and light snacks – all in the company of Tar Heels. We love to be there for you, as one Heel of a help, whenever we can. Carolina Alumni members in attendance will receive a gift bag. #UNCAlumni
