Robbie Bach ’84 graduated from UNC as a Morehead Scholar. While studying economics as an undergraduate student, Mr. Bach earned the title of Academic All-American for the Men’s Varsity Tennis Team. Mr. Bach continued his education at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he earned his MBA.
Mr. Bach joined Microsoft in 1988, and served in various management and business roles. One of the roles that Mr. Bach held within the company is Chief Xbox Officer, where he led the creation of the Xbox video game business. The creation of the Xbox inspired Mr. Bach to write his first book “Xbox Revisited: A Game Plan for Corporate and Civic Renewal.”
Currently, Mr. Bach resides in Washington and works as a Civic Engineer where he consults with companies, and travels across the country to speak with corporate, civic, and academic groups.
