The Battle of Cowpens, January 17, 1781, occurred during the latter part of the Crown’s Southern Campaign, and its outcome served as a turning point for the war in the South. This class will highlight the story of General Daniel Morgan’s amazing victory — the only double envelopment of the American Revolution and a battle which eventually pushed the Lord Charles Cornwallis’ invasion into North Carolina.
