Federal authorities are opening a new investigation of UNC’s treatment of laboratory animals in response to allegations made by a national animal rights group. It is the second such investigation in two years. read more
Paul Solomon has been named interim dean of UNC’s School of Information and Library Science, effective July 1. Solomon, who has been at SILS since 1991 and has been one of the school’s associate deans, will serve during a search for a new dean. read more
