It is hard to believe it has been six years since I joined the University faculty and five years since I started in my role as executive director of the Shuford Program in Entrepreneurship. It has been my pleasure to get to know so many of you as you have passed through the glass doors of the suite. So much has changed since the e-minor was created in 2005 and the program launched in 2017, thanks to the generosity of the Shuford family.
Each of you have fond memories of Chapel Hill and know firsthand how special the Shuford Program is to all of us. You have been impacted by conversations with mentors, internships with diverse companies, and the authentic connections created with each other. Over the years, many of you have taken classes from some amazing professors: Buck, Holden, Charles, John Akin, John Stewart, Pat Conway, Janet, Lowry, Greg and Chris, Ken, Tom, Susie, Jaiyi, Abhi and Jed.
To celebrate all that we have achieved and all the exciting opportunities still ahead, we are hosting our first annual Shuford Alumni Reunion, Sept. 22-24, 2022. The weekend will be a chance to reconnect, reminisce, hear program updates and have a fantastic time in Chapel Hill.
