Registration Information

Please take a moment to review the registration reminders below before you begin the online registration process. This will help alleviate the most commonly made registration errors.

  • The registration, cancelation and refund deadline is 11:59 p.m. (EDT) on Sunday, Sept. 18.
  • Requests can be self-initiated or emailed to activities@gaa.unc.edu.
  • Carolina Alumni member pricing is available only to the Carolina Alumni member. If you are a Carolina Alumni member and your spouse/guest is not a Carolina Alumni member, your spouse/guest tickets must be purchased at the standard rate.

How much does it cost to register for the reunion?

There are no costs to attend most of the events during the reunion.  However, registration is strongly encouraged in order to help the Shuford staff in plan appropriately. There is a $5 per person processing fee even if you only register for events with no cost.  Listed below are events that have a fee attached.

Friday, Sept. 23

Networking Lunch

  • Price: $15; Carolina Alumni members: $5

Shuford After Dark

  • Price: $10; Carolina Alumni members: $5
Saturday, Sept. 24

Tailgate Watch Party with DJ

  • Price: $25; Carolina Alumni members: $15

I'm a Carolina Alumni member and my spouse/guest is not. Is she/he eligible for Carolina Alumni member pricing?

No.  Only Carolina Alumni members are eligible for Carolina Alumni member pricing.   If your spouse/partner/guest is not a Carolina Alumni member, their tickets must be purchased at the standard rate.

How do I edit or cancel or my registration? Or, I can no longer attend: are refunds possible?

As long as space is available, you can add events to your registration.  You can also cancel your registration until 11:59 p.m. (EDT) on Sunday, Sept. 18. If you cancel your registration, event fees will be refunded, however, your membership dues, if you join/renew your Carolina Alumni members and processing fees are nonrefundable.

To Edit or Cancel a Registration

  • Email activities@gaa.unc.edu with your request, or you can follow the directions below and self-cancel.
  • Be sure you have your confirmation number; you will need this to modify your registration (can be found on your email confirmation)
  • Click the view or modify your registration link (10th line under the QR code on your confirmation).
  • This will take you to the page to enter your confirmation number; enter your confirmation number and click log in.
  • Scroll to the bottom and click the Modify Registration button (or Cancel Registration button).
  • From this point your can make changes or cancel your registration.

Why is there a $5 processing fee per person?

To streamline our reunion processing and to create a more efficient and secure online registration experience, we have upgraded our event management system. This has resulted in a processing fee similar to other online event systems (e.g. Ticketmaster, UNC Ticket Office, Fandango, etc.) plus you have more control of your ticket purchasing.

You can now add, cancel and request refunds from your laptop or mobile device. Our system will also allow us to go ticketless.  Your name tag will be scanned for event entry. The fee directly supports system monitoring and frequent upgrades and does not fund any reunion activities. The $5 processing fee is nonrefundable.
