Pre-Reunion Letter From Your Class President

Dear 1967 classmates,

Welcome to our class page. Here you will find up-to-date information about our 50th reunion. Yes, it has been 50 years since we all got that cherished diploma and headed away from Blue Heaven to seek our fortune. Now it’s time to really celebrate and relive our years together.

Plan to join hundreds of us who will be returning to Chapel Hill, May 11-14, to enjoy a fabulous weekend, highlighted by our induction into the Old Student’s Club with a luncheon, a dinner and dance featuring The Embers and our class leading the procession into Kenan Stadium adorned in Carolina blue commencement gowns on Sunday morning. The GAA assures us we will be provided with easy access parking and the means to escape quickly and quietly if we need to get on the road immediately following the procession. There will also be enrichment sessions, campus tours and plenty of time to visit with our classmates.

Even if you are not sure whether you will be able to join us in Chapel Hill for the reunion, you can still participate in our 50th celebration by sending in your personal update for the 50th Anniversary Yackety Yack.

Look for emails and letters from the GAA, and check back here for an updated list of those who are planning to attend, hotel and housing information, the reunion weekend schedule and an online RSVP form.

On behalf of the 1967 reunion committee, we look forward to seeing you in May.

Jim Brame, Permanent Class President and Winborne Shaffer Chandler, Reunion Chairman
