Spring Reunions Weekend Updates
Updated March 23, 2020: The most recent updates surrounding COVID-19 have prompted many changes in our ability to host large gatherings on campus for an indefinite period of time. The health and safety of our alumni, students and friends is our top priority. It has been a longtime tradition that our annual Spring Reunions Weekend take place during Commencement weekend. On Friday, March 13, the University announced plans to postpone Spring Commencement exercises and is working to determine a new date.
In light of this news, all previously scheduled reunion activities are being postponed to a date yet to be determined. Once the University announces postponed graduation plans and direction, we’ll work with each class to identify the best time to invite everyone back to campus to celebrate each reunion. We will notify you as soon as a decision has been made.
Registrants who previously paid for events have been contacted regarding refunds. Those who have purchased the 50th Anniversary Yackety Yack will receive their book in the mail as soon as we are able to print and mail it.
If you previously made hotel arrangements at any of the hotels listed on our website, we encourage you to reach out to them as soon as possible to discuss canceling your reservation. For your convenience, we have listed any information we have received on hotel cancellation policies within our courtesy blocks (view hotel information).
During these uncharted times, we take comfort in knowing that our Carolina ties remain strong. We encourage you to continue connecting with fellow alumni through social media, phone and email. We stand committed to supporting you however we can.
