2024 Sponsorship Opportunities

In 1980, the UNC Black Alumni Reunion (also affectionately known as BAR) began as a small intimate gathering of about 60 alumni. More than 40 years later, BAR has grown to approximately 15 events over the course of four days with an annual participation of 1,200-1,400 alumni, family and friends. BAR has become a Carolina tradition and is the oldest and largest affinity reunion supported by Carolina Alumni.

Annually, BAR events offer alumni the chance to reminisce with classmates who were roommates, suitemates, members of BSM subgroups, fraternities, sororities or a member of a number of other campus organizations. Take this opportunity to showcase your business or just celebrate being a BAR Heel, become a sponsor today.

Sponsor Levels

Through our unique sponsor opportunities, you can select a level of involvement that will meet your needs and budget considerations. BAR sponsors help support events that raise funds for the Light on the Hill Society scholarship; helps the planning committee maintain reasonable event prices plus ensure the continued growth of one of Carolina’s greatest Homecoming traditions – the Black Alumni Reunion.

Sponsor Levels

  • Chancellor Level: $10,000 and above
  • Provost Level: $5,000 – $9,999
  • Dean Level: $2,000 – $4,999
  • Bell Tower Level: $1,000 – $1,999
  • Carolina Level: $500 – $999
  • Old Well Level: $250 – $499
  • Tar Heel Level: $100 – $249
  • Born and Bred Level: Up to $99
